This page sets out important disclaimers concerning trading risk, past performance, financial advice, and jurisdictional restrictions. It supplements the Terms & Conditions and should be read in full before purchasing or using any O2ODDS product.
General trading risk
Trading foreign exchange (Forex), contracts for difference (CFDs), commodities, indices, cryptocurrencies, and other leveraged financial instruments carries a high level of risk to your capital. Depending on the instrument and your broker, you can lose more than the amount you originally deposit.
Leverage magnifies both potential gains and potential losses. Even a small adverse movement in the market can result in the loss of your entire invested capital. You should carefully consider whether trading is suitable for you in light of your circumstances, knowledge, and financial resources.
You should never trade with money that you cannot afford to lose entirely.
No financial or investment advice
Nothing on the O2ODDS website, in any of our product materials, in email correspondence, in support chats, or in any other communication from us constitutes:
- Financial advice;
- Investment advice;
- Tax advice;
- Legal advice;
- A recommendation to buy, sell, or hold any financial instrument;
- An offer or solicitation to engage in any transaction.
We do not know your personal financial situation, investment objectives, risk tolerance, or trading experience. We cannot assess whether our products are suitable for you. If you require advice, you should consult an independent, licensed financial adviser in your jurisdiction.
Past performance
Past performance is not indicative of future results. This applies whether the performance data comes from:
- Historical backtests on tick or bar data;
- Forward tests on demo accounts;
- Live account results, whether ours or those of other users;
- Third-party reviews, verifications, or "myfxbook"-type accounts.
Markets change. Volatility patterns change. Broker execution, spreads, and slippage change. What worked in the past may not work in the future, and past results give no guarantee that any advisor will produce comparable results going forward.
Hypothetical performance
Where we present hypothetical or simulated performance results — for example, in a backtest — you should be aware of the specific limitations of such results:
- Backtests are constructed with the benefit of hindsight and may be inadvertently curve-fitted to historical data.
- Simulated results do not reflect actual trading and do not account for all factors that affect a live account, including but not limited to broker execution delays, requotes, variable spreads, slippage, swap costs, and platform outages.
- Hypothetical results assume the trader has both the discipline and the risk capital to follow the strategy through any drawdown periods shown. In live trading, drawdowns often cause traders to intervene, disable, or abandon strategies.
Automated trading specific risks
Automated trading systems, including the products we sell, involve specific additional risks:
- Technology failures. Your trading platform, internet connection, VPS, or broker's server can fail. When they do, the advisor cannot manage open positions.
- Configuration risk. Incorrect input parameters can dramatically change an advisor's behaviour. Always start with the recommended defaults and change one setting at a time.
- Regime change risk. A strategy calibrated for one market regime (e.g. trending) may behave poorly in another regime (e.g. ranging or high-volatility). Adaptive advisors reduce but do not eliminate this risk.
- Broker execution risk. Different brokers have different execution models, spreads, commission structures, and swap policies. An advisor that performs well on one broker may not perform the same way on another.
- Human intervention risk. Manually closing or modifying trades opened by an advisor may interfere with its risk management logic.
Jurisdictional restrictions
The sale, purchase, or use of automated trading software, or trading in leveraged financial instruments, is restricted or prohibited in some jurisdictions. It is your responsibility to determine whether our products may be lawfully used in your jurisdiction of residence before purchasing.
We do not knowingly sell to residents of, or provide our products in, jurisdictions where their use would be unlawful. We reserve the right to refuse sales or terminate licenses where required by law.
No guarantee
We do not guarantee, and cannot guarantee, any specific level of trading performance, profit, income, or investment return arising from the use of our products. Any statement, prediction, projection, or expectation to the contrary is not authorized by us and should be disregarded.
Testimonials and reviews
Where our website features customer testimonials or third-party reviews, these represent individual experiences at a specific point in time. They should not be interpreted as typical results, and they do not guarantee that any other user will achieve comparable outcomes.
